I drove to the particular clients location only to find out that the necessary materials for the project were never delivered to the client. Why? Well, during my first week in the field, there were several projects that I was unable to complete. I have to be honest and say that I quit the job within 2 weeks of being hired. For a new employee, in addition to the on line training, working with an experienced representative for the first two or three service calls would be a great benefit. When you are hired, you have to undergo on line training.

The only people who seemed happy there were the ones completely indoctrinated, almost to zealot-like levels. Well, tell that to the salaried employees who were given no time ON SITE to do their tasks and constantly had to take their work home. This unsettled enough people that management had to apologize after and say it wasn't their intention to tell employees they couldn't have a life outside of work, just to inspire us. For example, showing motivational videos like, Eric Thomas's 'How Bad Do You' which is inappropriate for a workplace in that it insisted that employees disregard anything outside of work if they wanted to be successful. But some of the material they showed was. Then they had a team-building event off site for several days to enforce ideologies, which isn't a bad thing on its own. The company really stressed their ideals and mission statements to employees, having us memorize certain phrases and be able to cite them back to management on demand. Then things started to get weird in the office environment. At first, everything seemed great except that my role was not fully fleshed out. I started here with high expectations and excitement.
